Minutes for 3 June 2010
pending/old business:
The golf tournament is on track for June 4th.
Our last cookout made money, thank you to all of our supporters on both sides of the grill. Our next cookout will be June 10th. If you would like to help contact AMTC Steinbrink. Jan will send out the flyer and advertise in the Plan of the Week.
Highway cleanup will either be Thursday June 17 or Friday June 18. Standby for date.
ITCS Humphries read a thank you note from the lacrosse team we helped support this season. After being dropped by the local high school the team was reorganized this season as a club. initially predicted to finish last in thier division (consisting of both club and high school teams), the newly established Olympic Mountaineers finished the year 8-5, placed second in thier division, and qualified for the state playoffs. A very successful campaign!
new business:
Chief Canaday brought up the idea of sponsoring a month for the gentleman who supplies hot dogs for the Seattle Airport USO’s “Hot Dogs for Heroes” program. The cost would be $200 but a decision was tabled until next month when the results of the golf fund-rasier are known.
Reminder to the president that we will have to let national know that we will soon be changing the name of our chapter to Sector Field Office Port Angeles Chapter. Webpage will need to be updated as well.
Next meeting to be held July 1.
